Mark D. Lefkowitz, counsel to Silverstein Law P.C., handles significant civil litigation matters for the firm, including trial and appellate court work.  Mark was licensed to practice law in New York in 1973 and in New Jersey in 1983. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits; the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and for the District of New Jersey; and the United States Tax Court. Mark began his legal career with the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York in that agency’s Honors Program. In that position, he successfully argued significant (and, in certain cases, landmark) appeals on behalf of the City of New York in the highest State and Federal Appellate Courts.

Mark has been in private practice since 1984. Over fifteen years ago, he joined Schwartz & Silverstein, LLP, the predecessor to Silverstein Law P.C., as counsel to the firm. Mark has undertaken significant litigation matters which have often yielded extraordinary results.
